2019 SCHEDULE OF
EVENTS
ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES at 11:59 pm on Tuesday, May 28.

If you miss online registration, you may register on-site at any of these 2 locations on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday:
  • Thursday, May 30th.  Early rider packet pickup and on-site registration from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Courtyard by Marriott  
    (3040 Ross Clark Cir, Dothan, AL 36301) - On-site Registration on Thursday is $60.00.

  • Friday, May 31st.  Early rider packet pickup and on-site registration from 4:00 pm to 8:30 pm at Courtyard by Marriott  
    (3040 Ross Clark Cir, Dothan, AL 36301) - On-site Registration on Friday is $60.00.

  • Saturday, June 1st. Day of registration opens at 5:30 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church (3257 E. Cottonwood Road, Dothan,
    AL 36301) - On-site Registration on Saturday is  $65.00.

REMEMBER IF YOU REGISTER OR PICK UP YOUR RIDER PACKET ON THURSDAY OR FRIDAY YOU DON’T HAVE TO
SIGN IN SATURDAY MORNING BEFORE YOUR RIDE……YOU WILL NEED TO SIGN IN AFTER YOUR RIDE.

Saturday June 1 RIDE DAY!!!  All times are central

RIDERS PLEASE DO NOT START YOUR RIDE EARLY!!!!!!

The Start!
•        Bethel Baptist Church will open at 5:00am
•        Breakfast will be served beginning at 5:30am Pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, coffee
•        Day of registration 5:30am to 6:45am
•        Pre-registered riders packet pick up 5:30am to 6:45am

104 MILE RIDERS line at the north entrance in order of your estimated average speed for the first 50 miles which is the       
fastest part of the route.
o        First group of 104 mile riders 21 mph and faster…roll at 7:00am
o        Second group of 104 mile riders 19 to 20 mph 7:02am
o        Third group of 104 mile riders 17 to 18 mph 7:04am
o        Fourth group of 104 mile riders less than 17 mph 7:06am

63 mile riders line up behind all of the 104 mile riders
o        All 63 mile riders will depart together, but we request that riders that will average 20+ mph to make their way to the front of
the 63 mile group
o        63 mile riders will roll at 7:08am

42 Mile riders line up behind the all of the 63 mile riders
o        All 42 mile riders will roll at 7:10am

28 mile riders line up behind all of the 42 mile riders
o        All 28 mile riders will roll at 7:12am

YOUR RIDE!
Be Safe, be seen!
  1. All riders must wear their assigned bib number and wrist bands throughout the ride.
  2. Bib numbers help us identify you in case of an emergency and let us know which route you are riding.
  3. Wristbands tell you what color your route is, tell you what distances the rest stops are, and tell you who to call if you need
    help.

The routes are marked on the road in the color that matches your route.
104 mile is White….Keep in mind that most of the rest stops have relocated from last year.
•        63 mile is RED……this route has changed a lot from last year.   You get to visit Florida!
•        42 is YELLOW….this route has changed
•        28 is BLUE…..this route has changed and has a short out and back section to the rest stop at Antioch Church
•        ENJOY!
The Finish!
  • Please slow down and be cautious as you ride into the parking lot.
  • All riders please sign back in under the covered area at the church.  DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT SIGNING BACK IN.
  • 104 mile riders…….after signing back in please make your way to the Alabama Backroads Area to get your picture taken.
  • All other riders……you only need to sign back in.
  • Showers are available inside the church but you need to bring your own towel.  There will be shampoo and conditioner in
    your rider pack courtesy of the Dothan Courtyard.
  • Lunch will begin at 10:30am….Spaghetti courtesy of Bethel Baptist Church
  • Lunch will be supplemented as the day goes by courtesy of Moe’s Southwest Grill and Full Moon BBQ
  • Moe’s and Full Moon is meant to help us feed everyone as smoothly as possible.  We request that you choose either
    spaghetti, Moe’s or Full Moon so as to ensure that we have enough for everyone, all day

Your Departure!
  • PLEASE EXIT THE CHURCH ON THE WEST SIDE ONTO HIGHWAY 53….NOT THE NORTHSIDE WHERE YOU BEGAN
    YOUR RIDE.  THE NORTHSIDE IS WHERE OTHER RIDERS WILL BE FINISHING THEIR RIDES.
